Hi, I'm Missy, and thank you for visiting my gallery! I'm a self-taught Fractal artist who has received a lot of help from tutorials, friends, groups on Facebook and originally classes from Visual Arts Academy. I began pursuing my interest in art in the late '90's. I actually began a bit earlier learning graphic programs in an effort to create a family "home page." This led to the 3-D and fractal world, and once I entered that world, I never left. You may notice many of my images have scriptures attached. Sharing God's word is very important to me but I try to do it in an artistic way and my intent is never to offend anyone but only to share what is important to me.
Prior to devoting my time to creating fractal art, I spent several years creating Windows desktop themes. I loved creating themes, and received a few honors during that time. My themes were published on EZ CD Creator 5 on their bonus CD that came with the program. I also had some of my themes published in a graphics magazine. One of my images has been used as CD cover for a world music-type group, and another image was used on a hard rock band CD cover (neither famous yet). Those were fun experiences. More recently many of my fractals have been featured on CBS Sunday Morning TV show. Thank you CBS!
On a more personal level, I'm married to a wonderful man, Mike, who has been the love of my life almost my whole life. We met when we were 14/15 years old. We've been married now 37 years with no plans of stopping. We have three great kids, all adults now. I am a stay-at-home artist full-time.
I hope you enjoy my artwork and if I can help you in any way, please let me know. I know I have so much more to learn and I appreciate all the incredible artists around DA.
Thanks for stopping by!
